About Your Trip

Location
The county we will be holding the event at will be listed on the schedule. The exact area will not be released until 24 hours before the trip and only participants that have sign up for that event will be notified. This keeps people from scouting, putting pressure on the animals before the event and also helps keep from drawing a bigger crowd to the area than the amount of people we are taking. An event may change during a season, but for planning purposes for our members, an event will not change with in 60 days of the event. With in 24 hours of the event, you will be sent an email on exact meeting location for all members to attend. For members deciding to stay overnight, motel or camp site accommodations with be listed where available.

Once You have Arrived
You will be given a packet with information about the area we are attending. We will be broken up in groups of two or more & one hunter in each group will be given a VHF radio for communicating with staff. Radio will be off while hunting, but once hunter decides to climb out of stand or quite hunting, radio is to be turned on. This is for safety purposes.

The Land
Is to be treated like it is your own. The area will be broken off in sections. Once your group has been decided, you will then draw a number to see what section you are hunting. Theirs only two ways that you may hunt a different section other than the one you have drawn, if a hunter never arrived or if a hunter decided to not hunt the next morning. Once we have left for the woods, that is the section you must stay in for that day.

Hunting Times
Are different due to the event or daylight savingstime. All hunting trips start off as afternoon hunts. On a voluntary bases, you may stay the night and hunt the next morning. Afternoon trips are scheduled because you can not find your way through the woods in the dark if you have not ever been there.

Your Departure
Safety is always first. You may never leave for any reason with out notifying a staff member. All contact information will be supplied for you on your arrival time.

Your Host,
Outdoor Xcursions
John Marshall
